This method called ‘Acupressure’
Acupressure (a blend of "acupuncture" and
"pressure") is an alternative medicine technique derived from
acupuncture. In acupressure physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points
by the hand, elbow, or with various devices. There are literally hundreds of
acupressure points on the body.
Point Name : Bai Hui (GV20) - Its is one of the most important acupoint.
Location : Center of the top of the head where the line connecting the
high points of your ears crosses the body midline until you feel a slight dip.
Benefits : headache on the top of the head, dizziness,
insomnia, poor memory, hot flashes, epilepsy, mental disorders, good for memory
and concentration, ringing in the ears, blurred vision, nasal obstruction, low
energy, prolapse of the rectum.
To activate your body’s self-healing power, first locate of
the acupressure points that you need to work on for your specific needs. Apply
firm pressure is the most fundamental technique. Use thumbs, fingers, palms, the
side of the hand, or knuckles to apply steady, stationary pressure to the point
for 1-2 minutes.
A general guideline to follow is that the pressure should be
firm enough so that it hurts a little. The more developed the muscles are, the
more pressure you should apply. If you feel extreme sensitivity or pain,
gradually decrease the pressure until you find a balance between pain and
pleasure. Do not continue to press a point that is excruciatingly painful.
It’s important to drink plenty of warm water after the
massage, helps to clear away toxic substances in our body.
Caution: please consult with your physician before
practicing Acupressure.
